One gauge fills through every stage. The dial advances rather than swapping symbols, so an operator reads both the family and the step at a glance.

Five Dedicated-Service status icons (60-day access, QC, historical states) collapse into a single Surveyed dial. The unpleasant-interaction icon and redundant grey states drop off the map. Threat sizing stops scaling by size. Net: roughly a third fewer symbols on a busy fire, and no two icons that mean the same thing.
